Environmental Project Manager

Environmental Project Manager Terracon is looking for curious minds to join us as an Environmental Project Manager. This mid-level position will help support the growing needs of our service line in Minnesota. You will be responsible for managing subsurface investigations, soil vapor assessments, and remedial actions on behalf of our diverse client base. The role also involves supporting senior staff in developing new client relationships and maintaining existing ones. Work with a team of professional experts in our Site Investigation/Remediation department and collaboratively work on dynamic projects with colleagues and clients to ensure work is executed on time and within budget. Our offices are conveniently located in both Plymouth and St. Paul with a flexible working environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with proposal preparation and RFP/RFQ responses, liaising with internal due diligence staff, Terracon National Account Managers, and clients. Collaborate with other service lines (e.g., geotechnical, facilities, compliance) for cross‑selling opportunities. Manage subsurface investigations (Phase II ESAs, Limited Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations) to evaluate soil, groundwater, and soil vapor. Manage remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, and/or soil vapor response actions. Identify, develop, and gather resources to complete projects, including project schedules, budget estimation, equipment selection, project staff, and external contractors. Lead IIF (Incident and Injury Free) safety initiatives, including pre‑task planning and compliance with approved safety plans. Address operational problems (e.g., staffing/resources) to minimize delays. Coordinate field personnel, office staff, and subcontractors to complete the project. Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections. Requirements Ability to independently analyze and interpret analytical data, technical reports, guidance documents, and government regulations related to environmental contamination. Strong technical writing skills, including written reports and business correspondence. Effective verbal communication and presentation skills to answer questions from managers and clients. Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities with a strong work ethic. Experience in environmental investigation (including field data collection) and remediation for commercial/industrial, transportation, and energy clients. Excellent communication skills. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or environmental engineering work. OSHA 40‑hour Hazwoper certificate and current annual refresher. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline such as Geology, Engineering, or Environmental Science. Valid driver’s license and clean driving history. A EIT/PE or GIT/PG or other professional certification is preferred but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
