Job Title: Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MedSurg Ortho/Neuro Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred License: South Carolina license or Compact license required prior to start Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Experience in med/surg patients - Ortho/Neuro experience preferred - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team. This position will work day shifts, three times a week. The nurse will be responsible for managing a patient ratio of 1:6-7. Every other weekend is required, with a minimum of Saturday and Sunday shifts. No on-call shifts are anticipated, unless placed on call due to census needs. The department primarily focuses on medical and surgical patients, requiring proficient nursing skills. Experience with accessing and managing ports, blood product administration, and telemetry is preferred. Comprehensive patient management, including care for various conditions, is essential. Candidates must possess the necessary licensure and certifications, including BLS. We are open to reviewing applications from first-time travelers based on individual experience. All requests for time off must be submitted prior to the application process. Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
