Staff Pharmacist

Position: Staff Pharmacist (Contract) Location: Sumter, SC 29150 Assignment Dates: Coverage: September 26 – October 15 Required Training: 1 day during the week of September 21 (prior to the start of coverage) Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM On-Call Coverage: September 26–27 September 28 – October 2 (after each scheduled shift) October 3–4 October 5–9 (after each scheduled shift) October 10–11 October 12–15 (after each scheduled shift) Weekend On-Call Expectations: Remote on-call coverage is required. Responsibilities include answering clinical questions and verifying medication orders as needed. Call volume is generally low and may occur only a few times throughout the weekend. Facility Details: Licensed Beds: 60 Average Daily Census: Typically 30 patients; current census approximately 15–20 patients Specialty: Inpatient Behavioral Health (Psychiatry) Minimum Qualifications: Active South Carolina Pharmacist License (required) Minimum of 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience Behavioral health experience preferred but not required Responsibilities: Verify medication orders Refill automated dispensing cabinets (Omnicell) Order medications from Cardinal Health Provide remote pharmacist support while on call Ensure safe and compliant medication management in an inpatient behavioral health setting Pharmacy Systems: Order Entry: WellSky (training provided; prior experience not required) Automated Dispensing System: Omnicell (training provided; prior experience not required) Additional Information: This is a solo pharmacist coverage assignment with no additional on-site pharmacy staff.
