Sr. Epic Analyst II - EpicCare Ambulatory (Certification Required - HYBRID NYC)

Position Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Epic Analyst II. The Epic Senior Systems Analyst 2 is responsible for in-depth knowledge of assigned Epic System software, conducts day-to-day communication, reviews the software, demonstrates a deeper understanding of business operations, and works with Epic, the Project Team, NYULMC Business Representatives/Subject Matter Experts, and end users to tailor the system to fit the organization’s needs. The role involves analyzing workflows, data collection, report details, developing and documenting procedures, and designing, building, testing, installing, and maintaining solutions. The analyst will use critical thinking skills to provide independent system solutions and mentor team members. Job Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of the organization’s Core Values and incorporate them into duties. Demonstrate knowledge of the organization’s Service Standards and incorporate them into duties. Work with Application Managers, Directors, and the entire Project Team to collect, analyze, and document business operations and workflow. Complete all tasks in a timely manner with accurate documentation. Collaborate effectively with Epic using Sherlock or other appropriate tools. Collaborate with colleagues across teams to accomplish tasks. Troubleshoot problems, address user questions, and provide on‑call support on a rotating basis. Make recommendations, review, and test changes, enhancements, and new releases as assigned. Ensure test scripts are created, reviewed, and updated to reflect proposed workflow solutions. Analyze data conversion needs. Support the training team by keeping trainers informed of new functionality and system changes. Communicate effectively across all impacted teams associated with task assignments. Analyze new functionality in releases to identify impact. Understand interface requirements and considerations to ensure appropriate testing validates end‑to‑end workflow. Provide on‑site support during go‑lives and system upgrades. Ensure all quality assurance processes are followed, including change management and testing efforts. Actively participate and contribute in meetings; lead and facilitate meetings when appropriate. Work with the Application Manager/Director to assess projects for scoping and timelines. Participate in disaster recovery measures. Provide input into task assignment and scheduling of duties with the Manager/Director. Minimum Qualifications Effective oral, written communication, and follow‑up skills. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Strong desktop tool usage (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Good process design experience. Basic project management skills (lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issue list, manage project plan). Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented problem solver. 3–4 years of experience and a BA/BS degree or equivalent. Certified in one or more Epic Applications and/or working toward an Epic Graduate certification in the primary application. Multiple Epic implementation experiences. Knowledge of cross‑application integration. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare experience. Required Licenses EpicCare Ambulatory Certification. Salary Range $121,792.21 – $155,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range does not include bonuses, differential pay, or other compensation.
