Weatherization Technician

Job Description Job Description Benefits include:
o Rate of pay - $12.50/hr (pay increase after completion of probation)
o Schedule (7 am – 5 pm; Monday – Thursday)

· Requirements:
o High school diploma/GED
o Valid driver’s license
o Prefer at least two (2) years carpentry experience
o Must have full range of mobility
o Must be able to reach overhead
o Must be able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time
o Must be able to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment to complete assigned tasks
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs. frequently throughout assigned workday

Coalfield CAP opened its doors in 1965 and has worked to provide comprehensive services to economically disadvantaged children, families, and the elderly and to enhance their quality of life by empowering them to become and remain self-sufficient. The agency was created under the administration of Lyndon Johnson as a part of his War on Poverty. Coalfield CAP, Inc. has evolved into one of the largest social service organizations in the area. The agency operates five major federal and state grants along with some smaller programs. Coalfield CAP employs approximately 240 people. A twelve (12) member Board of Directors governs Coalfield CAP.
