Louisiana Transportation Practice Leader New Orleans, Louisiana Serving as a practice leader, you will deliver major transportation projects for LaDOTD, providing operational and strategic direction, building client relationships, managing projects, and driving profitable growth. What you’ll do Build and maintain client relationships. Lead business development activities, including direct client interaction and engagement. Procure, manage, and execute DOTD projects as needed. Manage projects, coordinating with sub-consultants, scheduling projects/tasks, negotiating and developing contract scope and fees, preparing cost estimates, planning production oversight, managing design team members. Participate in marketing activities, such as proposal and letter of interest production, interviews, and other presentations. Foster collaboration between design teams and specialized service providers. What you’ll bring Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program. Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) in the state of Louisiana or the ability to obtain reciprocity within six months. 15 or more years of experience managing diverse transportation and roadway projects. Demonstrated team leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team, coordinate and balance workload with other regional teams, and present team portfolio performance to senior management. Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals, and to lead and manage a team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule. Bonus points if you bring these, too Program management experience with DOT clients.
