A nine-doctor small animal hospital in the Columbus, Ohio suburbs is hiring an Emergency Veterinarian for its evening ER service.
The hospital combines general practice, urgent care, and evening emergency, with a strong surgical caseload (GDVs, pyometras, C-sections, splenectomies, foreign bodies). Daytime teams handle hospitalized patient follow-up, so you can focus on emergency medicine.
Key Highlights:
- Full-time: 6pm to 2am on a 5-on/2-off/2-on/5-off rotation
- Part-time: every other Friday through Sunday (6 shifts a month)
- No new emergency cases accepted in the final hour of the shift
- 9-doctor team with a 5:1 staff-to-doctor ratio and RVTs
- In-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, advanced anesthesia monitoring
- 24/7 board-certified radiology interpretation
- Path to partnership or ownership
About You:
- DVM or VMD from an accredited school
- Valid Ohio veterinary license
- Ideally 6 months to 4 years of post-graduate experience
