Responsibilities:
- Architects,designs,engineers,anddocumentOracledatabasesandassociatedinfrastructureinclustered,stand-alone,and/orappliance-hostedconfigurations,whichfulfillmissionrequirements,servicespecifications,andcybersecuritymandates
- Investigateshardwareandsoftwareproblemsrelatedtothedatabase-hostinginfrastructureandperformcorrectiveactions
- Implementsrobustbackup,restoration,anddisasterrecoverystrategies
- Monitors,fine-tune,andoptimizedatabaseperformanceforminimaldowntimeandmaximumefficiency
- Establishesandenforcesstringentdatabasesecurityprotocolsandaccesscontrols
- CollaboratecloselywithapplicationdevelopmentteamstodesignandoptimizeOracledatabases.
- OracleRAC:GridInfrastructure/ASMadministration,installation,patching,configuration,andtroubleshooting
- Develops,executesandoverseesdatamigrationinitiativeswhenrequired
- PerformanceTuning:AWR,ASH,statspackanalysis,SQLtuning,optimizerstatistics,andexecutionplananalysis
- Datareplicationandmigration:OracleGoldenGate,DataPump(expdp/impdp),andDataGuard
- SpearheadsscalabilityandhighavailabilityeffortsforAzureSQL,SynapseAnalytics,andothercloud-baseddatabaseswhilemanagingcloudresourcesandoptimizingcost-effectiveness
- Maintainscomprehensivedocumentationdetailingdatabaseconfigurations,procedures,andbestpractices
- Regularlygeneratesperformanceandusagereportstosupportinformeddecision-making
- Drivesproblemresolutionandrootcauseanalysisacrossthetechnologystack
- Participatesintheresolutionofdatabaseavailability,capacity,andperformanceissues.
- ParticipatesininfrastructureandorganizationalinitiativesacrossmultipleITdisciplines.
- Sustainsfleetofphysicalandvirtualdatabase-hostingserversrunningamixofoperatingsystems(OpenSystemsandWindowsSystems)inmultiplenetworkenvironments
- Performsdailyoperations,onsitesupport,andon-callsupportforallaspectsofdatabasearchitecture,databaseplatforms,anddatabasemanagementsoftware
- Workswithoriginalequipmentmanufacturersand/orthird-partyvendorstoresolveperformancedegradationsandoutages
- SupportsandparticipatesinprojectsrelatingtothemoveofsystemsandservicestomodernizedhostingenvironmentsandCloudcapabilities
- Providesexpertadviceonconfiguringdatabasesystemstomeettheenvironmentandboundaryrequirementsandcustomizeservicestomeetnewperformancegoals.
- Workswithoriginalequipmentmanufacturersand/orthird-partyvendorstoresolveperformancedegradationsandoutages.
- SupportsandparticipatesinprojectsrelatingtothemoveofsystemsandservicestomodernizedhostingenvironmentsandCloudcapabilities
- Providesexpertadviceonconfiguringdatabasesystemstomeettheenvironmentandboundaryrequirementsandcustomizeservicestomeetnewperformancegoals.
- MusthaveanactiveTopSecretSecurityClearancewithSCIeligibility
- PossessesaB.S.inarelatedfieldand10+yearsofdatabaseadministrationexperienceincludingexperiencewithOracledatabases.
