Job Title: Family Law Legal Assistant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Family Law Legal Assistant to join our client to support the daily operations of a busy legal practice focused on family law matters. This role plays a key part in keeping attorneys organized, ensuring timely communication, and maintaining accurate case documentation. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast paced and emotionally demanding environment. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity based in Edina, MN.
Compensation:
$60,000–$70,000 per year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8 hour days
Key Responsibilities of the Family Law Legal Assistant:

• Provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys and legal staff, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and coordinating appointments
• Prepare, edit, and handle confidential correspondence and legal documentation while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
• Serve as a point of contact by answering calls, routing inquiries, and supporting communication with clients and stakeholders
• Assist with case management tasks such as legal research, data organization, document preparation, and use of legal software tools
• Support operational needs including time entry, expense reporting, and maintaining organized records and incoming mail

Qualifications and Skills for the Family Law Legal Assistant:

• Minimum of 3 years of legal experience, with exposure to family law or litigation environments preferred
• Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with legal systems or databases
• Excellent proofreading, writing, and document formatting abilities with a focus on accuracy
• Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities and handle sensitive matters with discretion
• Effective communication skills and a professional approach to client interaction and teamwork
