Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. Minimum = $36,733.08 Mid = $44,998.03 Maximum = $53,262.97 Summary The Clinical Pastoral Education Resident provides and arranges the provision of pastoral care to premature, neo‑neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, their families and staff. The Resident functions professionally in an egalitarian environment in all situations, including crisis intervention, the scene of a death, and within group therapeutic contexts. The Resident participates fully and commits to the Clinical Pastoral Education Program for a minimum of one year. Responsibilities Shows commitment to patients by demonstrating the effective use of the pastoral care process in providing cultural, religious, age, and developmentally appropriate care, and by demonstrating appropriate and effective use of prayer; complies with the ethical standards of both YRMC and the Association of Clinical Pastoral Education, Inc.; provides for specific needs of individual faith groups by fostering an interfaith approach to hospital ministry, including administering sacraments and performing religious rites or arranging for an appropriate religious leader to do so. Demonstrates creative and innovative decision‑making by facilitating patient well‑being and autonomy, integrating hospital policies and procedures with pastoral care standards and practices. Plans, organizes, directs, and schedules educational and religious programs and services that meet the needs of patients, families, hospital employees, medical staff, and the community. Participates in the Clinical Pastoral Education program and meets minimum ACPE standards, including writing and negotiating a learning contract with the supervisor, attending all scheduled meetings, completing written unit evaluations, providing the specified number of pastoral visits for group and individual supervision, and consulting with the ACPE supervisor concerning personal and professional growth. Assists in preparing required departmental reports by compiling statistics and other pertinent information. Works collaboratively with the Donor Network of Arizona, the YRMC Department of Pathology, the Yuma County Medical Examiner, and various mortuaries to coordinate all issues surrounding the death of a patient. Documents each patient visit in a Progress Note in the Patient Chart, the CareTrac system, or by dictation; follows charting guidelines as outlined in *The Discipline for Pastoral Care Giving*, edited by Larry VandeCreek and Arthur M.
