About This Role
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Pre-K Teacher to inspire and nurture young learners in their early childhood development journey. This vital role involves creating a warm, engaging classroom environment where children can explore, learn, and grow through innovative curriculum development and hands-on activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to early childhood education, possess excellent communication skills, and have experience working with preschool-aged children. You will play a key role in fostering social-emotional skills, literacy, math, and physical development while ensuring a safe and inclusive space for all students.
What You'll Do- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Deliver engaging lessons in literacy education, math, physical education, and other core subjects tailored to preschool learners’ developmental stages.
- Use classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and foster respectful interactions among students.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through meetings or written updates.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student assessments, standardized testing results, lesson plans, and classroom activities.
- Provide toddler care when needed, including supervision during playtime, meals, and rest periods.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction, Montessori methods, or other educational approaches.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field
- Valid teaching certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC)
- Must clear a comprehensive background check through the state licensing body
