The Senior User Experience Designer (individual contributor) will design high-impact trading experiences across Schwab.com and Schwab’s iOS and Android apps. You will turn complex financial workflows into clear, accessible experiences, guide work from discovery through delivery, and raise the bar for craft across the product ecosystem.Why this work matters Your work will help millions of Schwab clients manage their financial lives with greater clarity and confidence. You will influence highly visible experiences used by retail clients and advisors, learn alongside an engaged design community, and help define what excellent trading experiences look like.Your responsibilitiesLead product design from early discovery through launch and iteration, turning client needs, business goals, and data into thoughtful solutionsDesign cohesive interactions for responsive web and native mobile experiences, with careful attention to layout, typography, color, motion, and user interaction with the systemSimplify data-intensive trading workflows without losing the power and precision experienced investors expectUse and evolve the Schwab design system, creating consistent, scalable patterns and componentsPartner with product managers, software developers, researchers, content strategists, accessibility specialists, and business partners in an Agile environmentFacilitate problem framing and ideation, communicate a clear design point of view, and use rationale and storytelling to move decisions forwardLead cross-disciplinary UX efforts, identify risks early, and help teams find practical paths through ambiguityChampion accessible, inclusive, and high-quality experiences at every stageYour approach Get to know client motivations, their goals, and the moments where complexity gets in their way Balance progress with craft, learning through iteration rather than waiting for perfection Build trust by setting clear expectations, inviting feedback, and adapting when new information arrives Support teammates while maintaining strong standards for quality, consistency, and follow-through Use various communication techniques to showcase work and persuade through rationale and storytelling Focus on solutions while partnering across disciplines to keep projects moving forward Leverage AI tools to augment and accelerate the UX processWhat you have*On your resume, please include a link to a digital portfolio of your relevant work; make sure to include any passwords required.
