Career Staffing Talent has partnered with a family-owned distribution business at a genuine inflection point. Following a recent acquisition, this company is integrating multiple entities and needs a finance leader who can build structure — not someone looking to manage what's already been built.

This is a hands-on, execution-first CFO seat in a blue-collar, owner-operator culture where decisions move fast, and credibility is earned through results.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead full financial oversight across two operating entities and drive post-acquisition integration
• Own the transition from quarterly to monthly close and build meaningful real-time financial visibility
• Manage GL consolidation across MS Great Plains and internal route accounting systems
• Build and refine FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting tied to real operational drivers
• Oversee an AP/AR team of four and develop a stronger accounting infrastructure
• Partner directly with ownership and next-generation leadership on growth strategy
• Drive working capital optimization, inventory management, and cash flow discipline
• Lead system integrations and process improvements across finance and operations
• Support current acquisition integration and future M&A activity
• Operate as a quasi-HR and operational leader in a lean, entrepreneurial environment

What We're Looking For

✔️ Background as a CFO or senior accounting/finance leader in a distribution or inventory-driven business

✔️ Strong command of inventory flow, margins, and supply chain finance

✔️ ERP experience, with MS Great Plains particularly relevant

✔️ Exposure to acquisitions and post-close integration

✔️ Comfortable managing multiple entities, multiple GLs, and imperfect data environments

✔️ Hands-on leadership style — this is not a delegation-only role

✔️ CPA and/or MBA preferred but not required

✔️ Thick skin, high ownership mentality, and the ability to influence across personality types

This role is not the right fit for candidates from pure public accounting backgrounds without operational exposure, or for those who need heavy structure, large teams, or a polished corporate environment.
