About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Open Heart Recovery, Telemetry Cardiac, Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 3 years of cardiac step-down experience License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Experience with Open-Heart, Epic EMR, and care for ventilated patients Description: Candidates must have a minimum of three years of cardiac step-down experience. Experience should include heart cath recovery, cardiac drips, and post-op open-heart patients. The registered nurse will typically work every third weekend and cover one holiday. This schedule may change based on census and staffing needs. There is no on-call requirement, but candidates may be asked to take a rare call day during fluctuating census or staffing situations. The registered nurse may be required to float to other units during times of low volumes or coverage crises. Experience with ventilated patients is preferred, as the registered nurse may be required to care for a ventilated patient in rare circumstances based on patient needs and staffing requirements. Candidates should be comfortable providing care to ventilated patients if needed. All requested time off must be disclosed in the application submission to be honored. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 36 hours per contract.
