Work Environment

This role primarily takes place in our clinic focused on outpatient care, where the physical therapist will work one-on-one with patients to develop therapeutic strategies tailored to individual needs. The clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a structured work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist, you will:

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring function and improving mobility.
• Deliver targeted orthopedic therapies utilizing manual techniques, exercise programs, and modalities designed to enhance recovery.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload to ensure individualized attention, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Provide education and training to patients regarding their conditions and empower them through techniques that assist in self-management and prevention.
• Utilize EMR tools, particularly WebPT, for accurate documentation and tracking of patient progress, ensuring comprehensive care meets all regulatory guidelines.
• Set realistic and measurable goals in collaboration with each patient, continuously monitoring improvement and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
• Advocate for non-invasive treatment methodologies, aiming to reduce reliance on pain medications and surgical interventions.
• Engage patients in wellness programs designed to enhance overall physical function, strength, flexibility, and balance.
• Conduct regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of treatments and modifications required for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

To thrive in this position, candidates must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active Physical Therapist license in the state of New York with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Advanced expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation, including proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise prescription.
• Strong documentation skills, especially with EMR software, to maintain precise records of treatment and progress.
• Ability to stay updated with the latest research and advancements in physical therapy practice to ensure high-quality care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitively set between USD 100,000 and 120,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
