Position Summary As a member of the produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have. Maintaining a clean, neat, and member‑ready area. What you’ll do Be a Team Member: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for customer service; and be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in‑stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various produce merchandise (e.g., taste, preparation method, use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; and adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilize handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; utilize digital tools; use perpetual inventory management techniques to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and provide attention to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience, modeling high quality service and products, executing basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Compensation The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications Applications must successfully complete all required training and assessments within a prescribed time period.
