We are seeking CVOR professionals to help launch and shape a new heart program at Lake Forest Hospital. Join us as we build a program to expand access to advanced cardiovascular services and set a new standard in heart care for our community. You will play a vital role in establishing a strong foundation for a program that will make a lasting impact, one heart at a time. This is a Full Time position at 40 hours per week for Cardiac Surgery located at Lake Forest Hospital. Schedule is Monday through Friday.

The Medical Assistant is a member of the health care team primarily responsible for providing support to physicians, nurses, and other licensed medical staff by facilitating efficient patient flow, assisting with various patient care activities, and performing related administrative functions. The Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring efficient patient flow through the clinic; maintaining neat, clean and safe patient care areas; promoting patient satisfaction by interacting with patients in a professional, friendly manner; safeguarding patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities include assuring efficient patient flow through the site, assisting practitioner with medical and surgical procedures, providing high-quality care, functioning as an integral part of the patient care team, and performing all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, current certification in one of the eligible medical assistant certifications, American Heart Association accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification, zero to two years' experience in a relevant role, and strong computer skills. Preferred qualifications include completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, one to two years of ambulatory care experience, and experience with electronic medical record.
