Overview ShiftsAvailable: Nights Employment Type: Full-time Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00pm to 7:00am Location: Providence Medical Center – Kansas City, KS We are seeking a Medical SurgicalTelemetryNursing Assistant(Non-Certified), also referred toTelemetryNursing Assistant (TeleNA), Medical-Surgical Nursing Assistant (Med-Surg NA)orMed-Surg Tele NA.A Med SurgTele NAwillassistnurses by providing basic patient care,monitoringvital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role inobservingpatients, reporting changes, andmaintaininga safe, supportive environment to promote recoveryunder the supervisor of other nurses.This position is on a per diem basis,PD/PRN,meaningas needed. Responsibilities ** If youare a non-licensed Nursing Assistant (NA) and have no prior experience Basic patient care: help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating Vital signs monitoring: take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation Mobilityassistance: help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices. EKG lead maintenance: ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — thoughNon-Certified NursingAssistant’s(NA’s)don'tusually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off andimmediatelyalert registered nurses Observation: monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff Qualifications

1. Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, preferred.
2. Current BLS within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
3. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.
4. Minimum six months’ previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
