Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring 2+ years of experience and Trauma Level II background at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital. Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required BLS certification required; ACLS preferred Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Trauma Level II experience required; Trauma Level I experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Epic charting experience required Skills needed include IV therapy/phlebotomy, central/PICC/arterial line management, blood product administration, chest tube management, tracheostomy care, cardiac monitoring, and wound care Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and heparin protocols required 2 professional references required (1 manager, 1 RN Charge or above) Responsibilities Med/Surg Tele unit at a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital Nights shift, 3x12 hours, 1900-0730 Patient ratio of 1:4-5 Every other weekend required, with flexibility for additional weekends as needed No on-call requirements Travelers will float within scope to meet facility needs and will be prioritized for floating No block schedule accommodations Provide direct patient care on a busy Med/Surg Tele unit, including monitoring, line management, and emergency response Scrub color is any solid color; light blue scrubs also provided on unit RTO limited to no more than 6 days, with minimal RTO accommodated during the first 2 weeks of assignment COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions First-time travelers accepted with strong clinical experience Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction Previous UW/Harborview staff must have a minimum 18-month separation before returning as a traveler Facility may cancel up to 1 shift per every 2-week contract period Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
