Registered Nurse

This position requires working in a high-acuity environment with a patient ratio of 1:5, possibly rising to 1:6 based on acuity and available resources. Travelers will be expected to float to other medical-surgical, telemetry, and lower acuity settings within their skill set. Participation in holiday bundles is mandatory, working two out of three holiday periods, including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is essential. The facility operates above 100 percent capacity and offers a wide range of patient diagnoses including heart failure, COPD, renal transplant, and sepsis. Strong interdisciplinary support is available within the unit, including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers without specific certifications must be willing to complete required training during the assignment. Flexibility to meet facility scheduling needs is essential, with the expectation of two weekend shifts per four-week schedule. This role may also include occasional relief charge duties as needed.
