Medical Scribe – Women's Health | Part-TimeBe the extra set of hands that lets providers focus on their patients.Greater Seacoast HealthDepartment: Women's Health Schedule: Part-Time Pay: $22.98–$26.73/hour, based on experience Mission-Driven Community HealthcareMake Your Attention to Detail MatterGreat patient care starts with being able to focus on the person in the room.As a Part-Time Medical Scribe with our Women's Health team, you'll work side-by-side with providers during patient visits, documenting important information in the electronic health record (EHR) in real time.Your work helps our providers spend less time focused on the computer and more time focused on their patients.If you're organized, comfortable with technology, a strong listener, and someone who catches the details others may miss, this could be a great opportunity to put those skills to work in healthcare.Why This Role MattersWomen's Health visits can be personal, complex, and sometimes emotional. Having accurate, timely documentation allows our providers to stay engaged with their patients while making sure important clinical information is captured.You'll support documentation related to preventive care, prenatal care, gynecologic care, reproductive health, and other Women's Health services.This is more than typing notes. You'll become an important part of the provider's workflow and the larger care team.What You'll DoJoin Women's Health providers during patient visits and document encounters in the EHR in real timeCapture patient history, exam findings, assessments, treatment plans, medications, orders, referrals, and other important informationPrepare draft visit documentation for provider review and approvalHelp providers keep documentation accurate, complete, and timelyReview upcoming schedules and help providers prepare for patient visitsLocate previous notes, lab results, imaging, and other information in the EHRAssist with routine EHR tasks and provider-directed orders and referrals within the scope of the positionCommunicate with nurses, Medical Assistants, front-desk staff, and other members of the care teamProtect patient privacy and confidentiality at all timesWe're Looking for Someone Who...You don't necessarily need years of healthcare experience to bring something valuable to this role.We're looking for someone who can listen, type, organize information, and pay attention at the same time.Someone who catches details.Someone who understands that when you're working with private health information, accuracy and confidentiality matter.And someone who is comfortable working alongside a provider in a busy clinical environment where the day doesn't always go exactly as planned.What You'll BringHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in a medical office, healthcare, administrative, or clinical environment preferredStrong computer and keyboarding skillsAbility to learn and accurately use an electronic health record systemStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detailAbility to document information accurately in real timeAbility to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment with sensitive patient informationAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environmentAbility to work collaboratively with providers and a multidisciplinary healthcare teamYou May Be a Great Fit If...You're the person who notices when something doesn't look right.You're comfortable asking a question rather than guessing.You can stay focused when several things are happening around you.You're professional and respectful when discussing sensitive information.And you like the idea of playing an important behind-the-scenes role that helps providers take better care of their patients.Understanding Your RoleAs a Medical Scribe, you are there to support the provider — not replace them.You will not independently provide medical advice, diagnose conditions, make treatment decisions, or perform clinical duties outside the scope of your position and qualifications.
