Promotions Manager

Under the direction of the Senior Marketing Operations Manager, the Promotions & Entertainment Manager is responsible for onsite and offsite managing marketing activities that include but are not limited to promotions and VIP events, organizing giveaways, staffing, signage, and logistical management of such events. Supervises promotions. Responsible for department budget expectations. Assists in the planning and execution of Casino and VIP parties, which may include the selection of dcor, menu, and staffing of the event as directed by the Senior Marketing Operations Manager.

Essential Duties may include tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. This list of tasks is ILLUSTRATIVE ONLY and does not comprehensively list all functions and tasks performed by the position in this class.

  • Responsible for production, purchasing, and obtaining bids for the implementation of all events and productions, printing, delivery of marketing materials, hotel transportation, etc.
  • Responsible for the creation of all purchase orders/securing contracts (securing bids where applicable) for events/expos, as required.
  • Coordinate and develop current and future promotions for on and off-site special events for the Casino to attract new patrons.
  • Establishes and implements continued communication with expos/event personnel on assigned events.
  • Responsible for promotion budgeting. Works within budget expectations.
  • Responsible for promotions folder maintenance, pro forma, and post-forma for events, promotions, and trade shows.
  • Responsible for promotional signage and all communication of various events to the customers and employees.
  • Sources and maintains inventory for party and event supplies.
  • Responsible for coordinating with different venues for specific VIP parties.
  • Works effectively with each department manager to ensure that the casino is reaching our customers to initiate repeat business.
  • Coordinates with all other necessary marketing staff on scheduled events.
  • Exercises considerable judgment and initiative when reviewing and evaluating the department. needs, specifications, and requests that pertain to all in-house and exterior signage, including in-house plasma/electronic signage, to also include all forms of direct mailers.
  • Must be flexible regarding the work schedule as this position would require being able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when needed. It may also require some travel.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be knowledgeable in all areas of casino promotions, entertainment, events, and customer incentives.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to exchange information with others clearly and concisely, and present ideas, facts, and technical knowledge effectively.
  • Performs all functions in accordance with applicable state, federal, and other laws and gaming regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Marketing Operations Manager.
  • Assists in all in-house promotions and events.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must be able to work promotions/VIP events, nights, weekends and holidays when needed.
  • Must obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Stand and walk for 67100% of the workday.
  • Bend, reach, and use eye/hand coordination for 3466% of the workday.
  • Sit for 133% of the workday.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in person and over the phone for 3466% of the workday.
  • Exposed to varying temperatures when moving between indoor and outdoor areas for 3466% of the workday.
  • Exposed to a high level of noise on the casino floor daily.
  • May occasionally lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Bachelor's in business preferred or 5 years of Marketing experience required
  • Strong math aptitude and attention to detail required.

Indian Preference: Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Indian tribes. To be considered for Indian Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) with your application.
