About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for E&S Programs in Healthcare and Professional Lines. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader for the Professional and Healthcare Programs Portfolio, driving growth, innovation, and disciplined execution. This role involves shaping the portfolio's direction, overseeing the performance of existing programs, and leading a high-performing team in the development of customized underwriting frameworks. The AVP will also be responsible for establishing and managing strategic partnerships, approving complex accounts, and ensuring underwriting discipline and portfolio integrity. A forward-thinking executive with a balance of strategic growth and operational rigor is essential, as is the ability to foster innovation and collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. Candidates for this position should have a strong educational background in business administration, finance, or risk management, with advanced degrees preferred. A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in the E&S or specialty marketplace, particularly in healthcare and professional lines, is required. The role demands a strategic thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a proven track record in leading high-performing teams. Experience in reinsurance placement, underwriting governance, and a deep understanding of the E&S lines and specialty marketplace are also key. The AVP will be expected to champion innovation, lead change initiatives, and ensure the team's performance aligns with the company's values and strategic objectives.
