Position:  Full-Time Food Prep Cook

Pay: Minimum of $12.77 per hour, including tip pool sharing

Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and team-oriented Full-time Food Prep Cook to join our team at Paris Banh Mi Fredericksburg at Central Park! This position is responsible for food preparation, order fulfillment, and ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of the kitchen to support our restaurant's smooth and compliant operations. Duties:

• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Prepare a variety of food menu items (e.g., sandwiches, pho soup, corn dogs, French fries, etc.) in accordance with established recipes and customer requests
• Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing ingredients, and following recipes
• Cook menu items using fryers, gas stove tops, pasta makers, microwaves, etc.,
• Ensure the quality and freshness of food ingredients
• Properly clean and maintain all kitchen equipment
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils using appropriate cleaning methods
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area
• Assist in monitoring inventory levels and restocking supplies as needed
• Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred
• Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety standards
• Familiarity with basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
• Ability to work collaboratively and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Team player with good communication skills
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Flexibility to assist in various kitchen and operational tasks as needed

Shifts:

• Seeking full-time employees to work opening and/or closing shifts
• Minimum hours required: 20 hours per week
• Must be flexible with working opening, closing, and/or weekend shifts
