Chief Philanthropy Officer - Louisville Ballet

Position Summary: The Chief Philanthropy Officer provides leadership and oversight of all fundraising efforts for the Louisville Ballet, including serving as a senior frontline fundraiser and advancing the organization’s multi-year comprehensive campaign, Encore for the Future. Reporting to the CEO, the role manages a portfolio of up to 100 top prospects and donors, driving principal and leadership gifts that are pivotal to the Louisville Ballet. As both a lead solicitor and supporting partner to the CEO, the Chief Philanthropy Officer plays a critical role in cultivating high-impact relationships with individuals and families capable of making transformational investments in the Ballet’s future. This role blends frontline fundraising expertise with campaign strategy to ensure campaign goals are met through thoughtful participation in planning, coordination, and personalized donor engagement. The Chief Philanthropy Officer provides leadership and performance oversight for the Major Gift Manager and Advancement Coordinator positions, ensuring alignment with departmental goals. In addition, the role collaborates closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to coordinate sponsorship initiatives and grant-related activities. The VP’s core responsibility is hands‑on fundraising. The VP will personally manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, cultivating relationships and securing gifts that drive LPM’s philanthropic growth. The VP also provides strategic direction for membership, institutional giving (foundations and grants), and donor operations, and leads LPM’s external communications, including press releases, media relations, and organizational messaging.

SALARY RANGE:

$100,000 - $115,000
