Inventory Procurement ManagerThe Heritage Project comprises 16 power generation facilities across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio. The portfolio includes a diverse range of generating assets supporting reliable electricity production throughout the region.Opportunity SummaryNAES Corporation has an immediate opening for an Inventory Procurement Manager to lead procurement and inventory activities across 16 Heritage Project power generation facilities. This position oversees sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and inventory optimization to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations.The Inventory Procurement Manager works with plant personnel, suppliers, and corporate teams to develop sourcing strategies, leverage fleet-wide purchasing opportunities, improve inventory accuracy, and strengthen supplier performance.This is a remote position requiring approximately 10% travel, including quarterly site visits for inventory verification and related procurement and inventory activities.Your scope of responsibility as Inventory Procurement Manager includes the following primary functions:Lead sourcing, procurement, and inventory management activities across 16 Heritage Project facilities, promoting consistent practices and supporting plant operational needs.Develop procurement strategies using spending, inventory, supplier, and market data to identify cost savings, sourcing opportunities, and purchasing leverage.Manage supplier selection, negotiations, contracts, and relationships, including pricing, quality, service levels, performance metrics, and continuous improvement.Partner with plant personnel to define technical, quality, cost, and delivery requirements and ensure critical parts, materials, equipment, and services are available when needed.Optimize inventory levels and accuracy while reducing shortages, excess and obsolete inventory, and potential operational delays.Conduct quarterly site visits to verify inventory, identify discrepancies, evaluate warehouse and storeroom practices, and support corrective actions.Identify opportunities to standardize materials, consolidate suppliers, leverage fleet-wide purchasing volume, and improve procurement and inventory processes.Monitor procurement, inventory, supplier, and spending performance through established metrics and reporting to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.Oversee resolution of purchase order, delivery, pricing, invoice, material quality, and supplier-related issues.Ensure procurement, inventory, and warehouse activities comply with company Supply Chain policies, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable controls.Utilize Maximo to manage procurement and inventory activities, maintain accurate supplier and material data, monitor transactions, and generate procurement, inventory, and operational reports.Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to improve procurement, inventory, supplier management, Maximo utilization, and Supplier Diversity initiatives.Perform other duties and support procurement, inventory, and supply chain initiatives as assigned.NAES SafeSafety is a core value of NAES and as a condition of employment, all employees are expected to be mentally alert and work safely at all times. Effectiveness in carrying out this responsibility is part of the evaluation of each employee's performance.Working RelationshipsThe Inventory Procurement Manager will report to the Client Services Manager and work closely with plant management teams and personnel across the 16 Heritage Project facilities, as well as suppliers, vendors, and corporate support teams.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsWork is primarily performed remotely or in a plant office environment and involves regular computer use and virtual communication. A reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace are required when working remotely.Periodic site visits may require walking through plant, warehouse, and storeroom areas, standing for extended periods, climbing stairs, and navigating uneven surfaces while supporting inventory activities.Site visits may include exposure to noise, varying temperatures, industrial equipment, and outdoor weather conditions. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable.Fitness for DutyAll employees will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program. This program includes a post-offer physical examination and drug screening and post-employment random drug screening.Work ScheduleThe Inventory Procurement Manager works a standard Monday to Friday day-shift schedule. This position will require extended hours, flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support plant operations and business needs and may also require callout availability. Depending on the position, on-call status may or may not apply.Approximately 10% travel is required to supported facilities, including quarterly site visits for inventory verification and related procurement and inventory activities.CompensationThis position offers an annual base salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000 and includes eligibility for an annual performance bonus.Technical Competencies and QualificationsAssociate or bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent procurement, inventory, supply chain, or industry experience may be considered in lieu of education.Extensive experience in procurement, sourcing, inventory management, and supplier management, preferably supporting multiple facilities or operating locations.Comprehensive knowledge of strategic sourcing, purchasing, inventory optimization, supplier performance, and contract administration.Proven ability to develop sourcing strategies, evaluate bids and proposals, negotiate commercial terms, leverage purchasing opportunities, and deliver cost savings.Demonstrated success managing supplier relationships, contracts, purchase orders, delivery performance, and procurement, quality, or invoice-related issues.Proficiency with Maximo or a comparable enterprise asset management (EAM) or ERP system, including purchasing, inventory management, vendor and material data, reporting, and analytics.Strong analytical capabilities to evaluate spending, inventory, market, and supplier data and support informed purchasing and inventory decisions.Skilled in establishing consistent procurement and inventory practices, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with Supply Chain policies and procedures across multiple locations.Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with plant management, plant personnel, suppliers, and corporate teams.Must possess a valid, unrestricted U.S. driver's license and ensure it remains in good standing at all times.About NAESNAES Corporation is a leading provider of operations, maintenance, and engineering services for energy facilities.
