Hourly pay range of $30.26 to $41.56, depending on experience, plus incentives and profit sharing after 90 days Full‑time, stable position with 40 to 50 hours per week Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401k Employee Assistance Program Life insurance Rotating schedule offering structured time off Exposure to advanced diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a mining environment Why You’ll Love It Here Work at the Lucky Friday Mine, a well‑established underground operation with long‑term stability Be part of a team focused on safety, accountability, and operational excellence Build real‑world skills across heavy equipment, not just one system or manufacturer Work in an environment where adaptability and problem‑solving are valued daily Opportunity to grow your technical expertise in both underground and surface equipment Your New Role Perform routine and non‑routine maintenance on mobile heavy equipment at the Lucky Friday Mine in Mullan, Idaho Complete scheduled and hours‑based service including lubrication and fault repairs Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and low voltage electrical systems Read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed Diagnose and repair drivelines including gearboxes, differentials, and wheel ends Conduct tire changes on rubber‑tired equipment Build and repair hydraulic hoses Use laptops or tablets to access equipment data and input maintenance records Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory tracking Perform quality checks and testing on completed repairs Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work environment Follow MSHA regulations, environmental policies, and all site safety procedures Work 12‑hour shifts on a rotating 4‑5‑5‑4 schedule, alternating between day and night shifts Hiring Expectations : Apply today, complete a quick phone screening, and get ready for an interview with our team to discuss your goals and experience. Associate’s degree in Diesel Technology or a related field preferred 4 to 10 years of hands‑on experience in diesel or heavy equipment maintenance Strong expertise in diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and advanced troubleshooting Proven ability to read and interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics Experience diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues Prior experience working with drilling and bolting equipment fleets preferred Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Ability to work rotating day and night shifts in a 24/7 operation Comfortable working in underground mining environments Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, compliance, and quality work Effective team player with clear communication skills Hecla Limited is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
