Environmental Manager-BJC HealthCare

Additional Information About the Role BJC Health has an opportunity for an Environmental Manager. This role functions in a consultative capacity, providing proactive support to address potential issues before they arise. It encompasses all aspects of environmental compliance in the Greater St. Louis area, while partnering closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams at BJC locations. Hybrid position, travel to BJC locations is required. Responsibilities Conduct environmental risk assessments and occurrence investigations at all organizational facilities as applicable. Reconcile hazardous waste manifests in accordance with agency requirements. Develop and approve policies, procedures and reports used for compliance with complex regulatory issues. Monitor, review and communicate Federal, State and local level environmental health and safety compliance, and consensus guidelines. Develop and maintain records and master files pertaining to compliance issues for each facility. Audit and monitor environmental vendors to enhance environmental management program effectiveness and efficiencies. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or related field. Education: Bachelor's Degree. Experience: 2-5 years.
