Join to apply for the MANAGER TRAINEE role at AutoZone The Manager in Training (MIT) position is a short-term transitional role offering work assignments and training to prepare MITs for promotion into Retail/Commercial Store Management positions. Progression to management within approximately 8-12 weeks is possible, depending on prior experience and performance. Responsibilities An MIT is a management team member expected to Live The Pledge, deliver WOW! Customer Service, and drive store performance. Under the supervision of the Store Manager, the MIT will lead and maintain an engaged, productive team by demonstrating initiative and leading by example. The MIT supports the Store Manager in: Overall store management, supervision, and policy implementation Financial management, including managing, analyzing, and reconciling monthly P&L statements Employee staffing, training, and development Inventory management Customer service leadership MITs are responsible for completing operations and management training, learning about key aspects of the business and AutoZone culture. Satisfactory performance and consistent progression through training are required to remain in the pipeline and be considered for management openings. Note: Promotion to Store Manager/Commercial Sales Manager is not guaranteed and depends on performance, availability, and other factors.
