Job Summary: St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Clinical Care Technician for our Emergency Department located within the Dearborn Hospital. Shift/Hours: Full time, 36 hours/week, split 1/2 shift. Job Description: The Clinical Care Technician provides direct and indirect patient care to support a unit or facility as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN). Participates as a member of the patient care delivery team by collecting basic laboratory specimens, two‑hour troponins, legal alcohol specimens, performing EKGs and 2‑hour EKGs with troponins, assisting with lifting and transporting, performing vital signs, cleaning and bandaging wounds, splinting fractures, and other duties as delegated by nursing staff within scope of training. Transport patients to testing. Perform CPR on full arrests as members of the code team. Follow all policies and procedures in the collection of laboratory samples and in the performance of EKGs, in an accurate and timely fashion. Assist nursing staff in addressing patient care needs, rounding frequently and ensuring that the environment is conducive to care. Education, Credentials, Licenses: High school Diploma / GED BLS Certification Specialized Knowledge: Ability to perform tasks such as vital signs. Demonstrates knowledge of body mechanics.
