Industrial Maintenance Technician

A growing food manufacturing company in Northvale, NJ is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to help keep its production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently. This is a hands-on position supporting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment installations, and facility upkeep.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
Perform preventive maintenance on production, processing, and packaging machinery
Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs with minimal production downtime
Work with motors, conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, sensors, and variable-frequency drives
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility maintenance projects
Document completed work and communicate equipment concerns to production leadership
Follow all safety, sanitation, food-quality, and GMP requirements
Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies

Qualifications:

At least three years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in food, beverage, packaging, or consumer products manufacturing
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 480V three-phase power
Experience with automated production and packaging equipment
Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
PLC troubleshooting experience is helpful
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around operating machinery
