Job Summary

Cuready Healthcare Staffing is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit/Intermediate Care/Stepdown to support patient care and clinical operations within healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate will deliver safe, high-quality care while collaborating with interdisciplinary care teams and maintaining compliance with facility policies and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a wide range of cardiac and post-operative patients, including monitoring and managing respiratory equipment like CPAP & BiPap.
• Administer and titrate medications for cardiac conditions, ensuring patient safety and accurate documentation.
• Work within nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 in PCU and 1:5-6 in MedSurg/Tele settings.
• Collaborate effectively with charge nurses, CNAs, and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Conduct telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms using Philips monitors.
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations per departmental guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license with eligibility for West Virginia practice.
• BLS (AHA) certification required; ACLS certification is highly preferred.
• Experience working in a high-acuity telemetry unit, particularly with Stepdown patients.
• Proficiency in titration of critical drips and strong understanding of cardiac care protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent experience in a similar acute care setting.
