Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities Perform routine facility maintenance including plumbing, mechanical, electrical, carpentry, and painting. Conduct regularly scheduled safety checks, inspections, and walk-throughs. Perform groundskeeping duties. Respond to and complete work orders and projects; record completion and any changes in work performed. Identify and communicate potential issues related to services and equipment to the Director of Facilities in a timely manner. Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to follow building preventative maintenance programs and procedures. Participate in the development of departmental safety procedures. Maintain records for facility compliance with all regulatory agencies providing oversight (local, state, and federal). Provide an environment conducive to safety for patients, visitors, and staff, assessing risks and implementing appropriate precautions. Comply with safety and infection prevention standards. Maintain regular attendance in keeping with the assigned work schedule. Complete required trainings, as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the organization. May be required to work during inclement weather and other staffing emergencies. Minimum Job Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent OR 2 years of direct experience. Previous experience in preventative maintenance, equipment and systems repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and/or construction. Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Required Licenses, Certifications, and Documentation Licensure in a specialty field such as electrical, plumbing, or HVAC preferred. Maintain an acceptable driving record, current driver’s license, and insurability. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of safety codes and regulations. Ability to perform mathematical calculations and follow detailed written and oral instructions. General computer skills including data entry, word processing, email, and record management. Ability to maintain quality and safety standards. Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality. Ability to work closely and professionally with others at all levels of the organization. Effective organizational and time management skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Physical Requirements A significant amount of walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling for both momentary and prolonged periods. Use of both gross and precise motor functions. Lifting or exerting up to 50 lbs. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Routine exposure to heat, cold, loud noise, restricted space, and moving parts. Location Eau Claire, WI #J-18808-Ljbffr
