DOD SkillBridge Program Agiliti has created a 4-6 month SkillBridge program for transitioning service members to meet our specific workforce needs. The Instrumentation Surgical Equipment Repair (SER) Technician internship provides hands‑on experience in surgical instrument repair under the guidance of a qualified experienced SER or supervisor. Key Skills Technical and mechanical skills Precision repairs of surgical medical instruments Ability to determine serviceability and repair requirements of surgical instruments Training Plan Participate in an individualized training plan that meets the soldier's needs and the work at the Agiliti location Training conducted via a mixture of computer‑based training (CBT) and on‑the‑job training (OJT) Interns receive extensive hands‑on experience and participate in Agiliti’s competency verification program Interns are assigned a mentor at their location Benefits of the SkillBridge Program Agiliti's internal training program Highly sought‑after skillset Nationwide: multiple locations for relocation Hands‑on experience in the medical field Meaningful work: precision repairs of surgical medical instruments 25% of open positions are filled with internal talent through promotions Responsibilities Inspect, evaluate, and test equipment Disassemble and assemble equipment and instruments and repair as needed, including the removal and/or replacement of defective parts Document all services and testing performed, including all parts needed Maintain work area in good condition and meet Visual Workplace (VWP) standards Handle timecard & time‑off entry, review and submission Perform other tasks as assigned or needed Qualifications High school diploma or GED Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend and stoop often Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs Ability to use computer devices and systems as needed Proficiency with grinding wheels, soldering irons, sandblasters, Dremel‑style tools, torches, microscopes, small precision hand tools, magnification tools, tweezers, micro screwdrivers, digital calipers and test equipment that require hand‑eye coordination Flexibility in work schedule to meet department needs Ability to handle and assemble small parts Ability to repair identified basic equipment models and maintain modality/department standards Equal Opportunity Statement It is the policy of Agiliti to provide equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, age, physical or mental disability, genetic information, marital status, status as a veteran, military service, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local civil rights laws.
