Details Large academic hospital setting Med/Surg Telemetry unit with potential to float to other units serving the same patient population, including the ED Rotating day/night shifts on a 3x12-hour schedule (7:00–19:30 or 19:00–7:30) Shift assignments may vary based on operational needs, though preferred shifts will be honored when possible 13-week contract Requirements Active OH RN license or compact RN license currently in hand Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele required; experience from a single location preferred but combined experience is acceptable Minimum 18 months of recent MS/Tele experience required; travel experience in the specialty is accepted A valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for consideration Additional Information ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments are completed during orientation; a passing score on both is required Holiday coverage required — travelers must work at least every other holiday Two professional references are required for consideration Travelers may not exceed 18 consecutive months across any assignments at this health system; a minimum 6-month break is required before starting a new assignment at any location within the same health system American Traveler Job ID P-723513L.
