Tax Systems Specialist

: . Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Tax Systems Specialist is a vital role in the Sales & Use Tax group. This individual will perform maintenance and necessary configuration of P66's SUT tax determination systems. In additions they will have responsibility to ensure our accrual review systems function as designed. It requires the ability to work independently, be detail oriented, have strong organization skills, be able to effectively multi-task with many requests, and possess a positive attitude. The preferred applicant should have previous Sales & Use Tax experience as well as experience with SAP FI & MM, Microsoft Excel, and be systems oriented as the support individual for multiple systems. The applicant should be committed to being a team player, maintain internal and external relationships and be able to analyze work for more efficient processes and procedures. The individual should have strong verbal and written communication skills. Responsibilities May Include: Support the OneSource Tax Determination System Functional support of the Sales & Use Tax Accrual Review system Effectively work with SAP Operational Support on Tax Relevant issues Monthly activities include: Ensuring all reportable data is loaded into our Accrual Review System Providing Sales Tax compliance data to our MSP partner Assisting with the Payment Distribution Process Loading relevant data into our reconciliation software Required Qualifications: Legally authorized to work in the job posting country Bachelor's degree in accounting, mathematics or information systems Strong analytical skills Strong computer skills, including Alteryx experience and Microsoft Excel experience Preferred Qualifications: Sales tax experience in public accounting, refining, or manufacturing 5 or more years of experience directly in Sales and Use tax Proficient in SAP Systems oriented Tax software experience Knowledge of technology tools such as Alteryx and Tableau Process driven and active learner Organizational skills with ability to prioritize responsibilities and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously Strong problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and team player Results oriented Ability to influence others Outstanding oral & written communication/presentation skills Total Rewards At Phillips 66, providing access to high quality programs and care for you and your family is important to us.
