Content Strategist

Job Description Insight Global is seeking a Content Strategy Consultant for a leading streaming media client. This consultant will partner closely with the Content Acquisition and Business Development organization to answer high-impact strategic questions that will influence future content investments, partnerships, and product offerings. While the existing team specializes in executing deals, this engagement is focused on defining long-term direction, building scalable frameworks, and creating executive-ready recommendations. The consultant will lead three major initiatives centered around creator and podcast content strategy, AVOD/FAST licensing strategy, and product packaging/pricing strategy. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise within the streaming ecosystem, particularly around creator licensing, content partnerships, free streaming services, and financial modeling. This individual will operate autonomously, transforming ambiguous business challenges into actionable recommendations while developing repeatable tools and frameworks that the organization can leverage long after the engagement concludes. This is a fully remote role and estimated to be 3 months with possible extension until the projects are completed. - Direct experience with creator content licensing, podcast partnerships, and/or YouTube creator ecosystems
- Experience structuring, negotiating, or evaluating content licensing agreements
- Strong knowledge of AVOD, FAST, SVOD, vMVPD, or streaming media business models
- Advanced financial modeling skills with ability to build reusable revenue, engagement, and ROI frameworks from scratch
- Experience creating executive-level strategy recommendations and decision-making frameworks
- Ability to work independently with limited oversight and ambiguous problem statements
- Experience developing content investment strategies and partnership recommendations
- Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills - Experience at streaming platforms such as Tubi, Samsung TV Plus, Pluto TV, Roku, Freevee, or similar services
- Previous consulting experience within media, streaming, or entertainment industries
- Content acquisition and deal execution background
- Experience with creator monetization models and competitive creator partnership structures
- Subscription packaging, pricing strategy, and bundling experience
- Business development experience at a media company, streaming platform, studio, or network
- Experience building audience segmentation and content portfolio strategies
