Helping Hands Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide high-quality mental health care to individuals who have experienced trauma. This full-time remote role allows you to work from the comfort of your home while making a profound impact on the lives of our clients. The successful candidate will hold a current license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW and will have a passion for supporting trauma recovery through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment\nThis position is 100% remote, utilizing a telehealth model to deliver care to our clients. We provide a flexible work schedule, generally Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, while accommodating variations based on patient needs. Our practice employs the latest technology and electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring effective communication and documentation. You will work within a collaborative online team environment, fostering connections with fellow therapists and psychiatrists to enhance integrated care.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments that evaluate patients' trauma histories and determine the most effective treatment options. \n
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, focusing on recovery and resilience-building. \n
- Provide therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practices, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help clients process their trauma, cultivate coping strategies, and encourage healing. \n
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to create a coherent support system for patients, involving regular case consultations and team meetings. \n
- Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring client safety and emotional support. \n
- Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources. \n
- Maintain up-to-date, accurate, and confidential documentation of patient records, adhering to legal and ethical standards. \n
- Engage in continuous professional development to remain current with emerging trends and research in trauma therapy. \n
Our clientele consists of trauma survivors from various backgrounds and experiences, including individuals suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Washington. \n
- A strong foundation in trauma-related disorders and treatment modalities. \n
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating a compassionate and non-judgmental approach. \n
- Competence in crisis management and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations. \n
- Proficiency in EHR systems and a basic understanding of digital communication tools. \n

- A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience working directly with trauma survivors is preferred. \n
- Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is highly desirable. \n
- A demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education and skills development in trauma-informed care. \n
