RN - Interventional Radiology (IR) Job Summary

• Provide direct patient care before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing IR procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including education, consent verification, and IV insertion.
• Monitor patient's vital signs and condition during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Administer moderate sedation and medications as directed by the physician.
• Assist interventional radiologists and technologists during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided and patient responses.
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) as needed.
• Ensure proper infection control and sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
• Provide post-procedure care, including monitoring for complications and patient/family education.
• Maintain and check equipment and supplies necessary for IR procedures.
• Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Med Ninjas Job ID #19824. Pay package is based on 10 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
