Senior Manager, Supply Chain, DC Quality

Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Senior Manager, Distribution Center Quality develops and leads the strategy, operating model, and performance management framework for the Distribution Center Quality function. This role establishes the quality metrics, standards, programs, and governance necessary to improve distribution center performance and positively influence store service, customer satisfaction, safety, inventory accuracy, product handling, and operating cost. The Senior Manager defines how both DC Operations and the Quality Team monitor performance, identify defects and process gaps, perform assessments, execute corrective actions, and verify sustained improvement. Working in close partnership with DC Operations, EHS, Compliance, WLM, DC CoE, Analytics, and other business partners, the role builds a proactive quality culture focused on prevention, root-cause elimination, process discipline, and measurable network results. Job Responsibilities Executes and/or oversees processes and approaches, working with long-term perspective; translates strategic goals into actionable tactics and objectives. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives.Ensures the development of innovative approaches, processes, and solutions that support department and division strategies. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Erroneous decisions will result in critical delays in schedules and/or unit operations and may jeopardize overall business activitiesInteracts regularly with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas and or stakeholders. Requires the ability to change the things of, or gain acceptance from others in sensitive situations, without damage to the relationshipCreates and fosters high performance culture, focused on engagement, accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Owns and manages relationships with third party service providers, including partner selection, contract negotiation, and performance management.Transfers knowledge across functional lines, promoting teamwork, and empowerment to achieve established objectives.Champions company initiatives, connecting efforts to company vision and purpose and driving increased engagement.Monitors industry trends, best practices, and regulatory issues as they relate to specific area(s) of responsibility and shares learnings, as appropriate, with direct reports and peers.Plans, develops and manages departmental expense and capital budgets. Walgreens has approximately 220,000 team members, including nearly 90,000 healthcare service providers, and is committed to being the first choice for retail pharmacy and health services, building trusted relationships that create healthier futures for customers, patients, team members and communities.External Basic QualificationsBachelor's Degree and at least 4 years of experience in a supply chain or business role OR a High School/GED plus 7 years of experience in a supply chain or business role.At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.Progressive experience in distribution, fulfillment, retail supply chain, manufacturing, quality, or operational excellence environments.Experience developing and leading quality management, performance improvement, or enterprise quality programs.Strong knowledge of quality systems, root cause analysis, corrective actions, process control, and continuous improvement principles.Experience establishing operational quality metrics, scorecards, and performance measurement programs.Proven success designing audit, assessment, compliance, and corrective action processes.Leadership experience managing managers, technical professionals, and cross-functional teams across multiple locations.Strong analytical, financial, and operational performance management skills.Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive adoption of network-wide quality standards.Lean, Six Sigma, Quality Systems, or Operational Excellence experience; relevant certification preferred.Excellent executive communication, change management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability and willingness to travel in support of distribution center assessments, implementations, and leadership engagement.We will consider employment of qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.The Salary below is being provided to promote pay transparency and equal employment opportunities at Walgreens.
