Job Title: Support Engineer II Location: Arlington, VA (100% Onsite – site may change during assignment) Duration: 3-month contract (potential for extension or conversion) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch) Pay range: $30/hr - $32/hr Hours: 40 hours/week + potential overtime We are seeking a Support Engineer II to provide frontline technical support for a global corporate environment. This role serves as the first point of contact for IT‑related issues, supporting users via chat, phone, email, and ticketing systems. The ideal candidate is customer‑focused, highly motivated, and able to manage a high volume of requests while maintaining quality service and adherence to processes. Top Required Skills 2+ years supporting Windows, Mac, and/or Linux in a corporate environment 2+ years of helpdesk or desk‑side support experience Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to corporate employees across Windows, Mac, and/or Linux environments Troubleshoot end‑user issues, diagnose root causes, and implement effective solutions Respond to support requests via chat, email, phone, and ticketing systems in a timely manner Document all interactions clearly and accurately through detailed ticket logs Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and utilize knowledge management tools Escalate system or network outages appropriately to minimize downtime Support teleconferencing systems and AV equipment remotely Ensure customer satisfaction by clearly communicating solutions and next steps Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of internal policies and technical environments Adhere to assigned schedules and demonstrate flexibility for shifts, weekends, and holidays Basic Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, and/or Linux operating systems in a corporate environment 2+ years of experience in a helpdesk or desk‑side support role High school diploma or equivalent Associate degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field Certifications such as MCSE, MCITP, or ITIL Foundation Experience with Active Directory Advanced Linux administration skills Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and explain technical concepts to non‑technical users #J-18808-Ljbffr Experis
