About the Role Join CBRE as an HVAC Technician supporting a large, state‑of‑the‑art Life Science Facility in Cambridge, MA—complete with free on‑site parking. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping the mechanical and electrical equipment that drives commercial HVAC systems operating at peak performance. Your expertise ensures a safe, reliable, and comfortable environment for all building occupants, including highly regulated research and laboratory spaces. As part of CBRE’s Engineering & Technical Services team, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot system issues, and complete repairs on a wide range of equipment to support continuous, efficient facility operations. Access to training, development, and career growth opportunities Competitive compensation and benefits 2nd Shift Hours will be M-F 2:30-11:00 What You’ll Do Install, repair, adjust, and maintain small electric or pneumatic control systems used for building. This includes heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and equipment. Conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation of equipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety. Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine best course of action for equipment modifications. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance. What You’ll Need High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Valid driver's license required. EPA Universal Certificate Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work. Communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
