Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll own the integrity of our financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, and month-end close while building the processes, controls, and systems that support a fast-moving AI-native business.This is an opportunity for a leader who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also developing people and improving how finance operates. You'll partner closely with leaders across Finance, People, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Engineering to ensure accurate financial reporting, operational excellence, and scalable internal controls.Accounting LeadershipLead the company's accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with US GAAPOwn the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, continuously improving speed, accuracy, and automationPrepare and review financial statements and supporting schedulesDevelop and maintain accounting policies and internal controlsSupport external audits, tax compliance, and statutory reportingFinancial OperationsEnsure operational processes scale efficiently while maintaining strong financial controlsPartner with cross-functional teams to improve financial workflows and system integrationsOversee:Payroll operationsAccounts PayableRevenue accountingFixed assetsCash accountingGeneral ledgerExpense accountingImplement systems where appropriateTeam LeadershipLead and mentor the Accounting Manager and additional members of the Finance organizationEstablish goals, coaching, and career development plans for the teamFoster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and financial operational excellenceBusiness PartnershipPartner closely with the CFO on accounting strategy, financial planning support, cash management, and special projectsWork alongside the Director of Order-to-Cash to ensure seamless coordination between billing, collections, revenue recognition, and accounting. (The Director of Order-to-Cash owns Billing, Collections, and Deal Desk while this role owns Revenue Accounting.)Collaborate with People & Talent on payroll, benefits accounting, equity compensation, and employee-related financial processesSupport board reporting, investor diligence, and strategic initiatives as neededSystems & Process ImprovementDrive automation and AI-enabled improvements across accounting operationsEvaluate and implement best practices that improve efficiency and reduce manual workPartner on ERP, payroll, and financial systems enhancementsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experienceExperience serving as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader in a high-growth technology or SaaS companyStrong knowledge of US GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606)Experience managing month-end close and external auditsExperience overseeing payroll, AP, and general accounting operationsStrong systems mindset with experience improving financial processes through automationExcellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively across the businessComfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities shift quicklyNice to Have:CPA required or strongly preferredPublic accounting background (Big Four or national firm) preferredExperience with SaaS subscription revenue and usage-based billingExperience with equity accounting and stock compensationExperience with modern ERP and financial systemsPassion for leveraging AI and automation to improve finance operationsWhy it matters:The Director, Corporate Controller will help Rev Serve by ensuring our financial data is accurate and trustworthy, Own by building scalable processes and strong financial controls, and Grow by driving automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the accounting function.
