This position involves working 3x12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The RN will manage a patient ratio of 1:5-7. Every other weekend coverage is required. Occasional floating to other facilities may be needed based on unit requirements. Certification in ACLS, BLS, and PALS is mandatory. Preferred certifications include NRP and TNCC. Candidates with a minimum of one year of general emergency experience will be considered. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. The RN will be responsible for the care of diverse patient populations, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics. The facility typically sees a daily census of around 50 patients with 15 treatment rooms available. The RN will manage critical situations like dysrhythmias, respiratory distress, and trauma cases. Knowledge of Epic charting is essential for this role. Candidates must be willing to comply with all guidelines regarding emergency response teams during the hurricane season. This role requires flexibility to handle various emergency situations effectively.
