Safety Coordinator

Job Title: Safety Coordinator

Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Location: Waterloo, IA 50704

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)

Description:

Support workplace safety and injury prevention.
Identify and correct safety hazards.
Conduct safety and compliance audits.
Assist with safety programs and process improvements.
Analyze EHS metrics and recommend improvements.
Review new equipment and processes for safety compliance.
Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
Perform ergonomic assessments and risk evaluations.
Conduct safety and ergonomic training sessions.
Document safety findings and improvement plans.
Work with safety equipment suppliers.
Maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications:

Degree or certificate in Safety, Ergonomics, or related field.
Engineering or technical education will be considered.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of safety regulations and reporting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and presentation skills.
Ability to conduct audits and risk assessments.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with EHS or ergonomics.
Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
Experience with incident investigations.
Familiarity with manufacturing environments.
Experience delivering safety training.
