Newborn Nanny / Infant Care Specialist

Location: Falls Church, Virginia

Position: Full-Time or Part-Time (Flexible)

Schedule: Morning, Evening, Overnight, or Full-Time

Compensation: $35–$45+ per hour (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced infant caregiver who is knowledgeable in newborn care, feeding, sleep routines, developmental milestones, and creating a calm, loving environment.

Our ideal candidate is proactive, organized, professional, and takes pride in providing high-quality care while maintaining the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.

Primary Responsibilities

Provide loving, attentive, one-on-one care for our 3-month-old infant

Prepare and feed bottles (breast milk and/or formula)

Follow feeding, sleeping, and daily routines

Diaper changes, bathing, dressing, and infant hygiene

Sterilize bottles, pump parts, and feeding equipment

Wash, fold, and organize baby’s laundry

Keep nursery and baby areas immaculate and organized

Track naps, bottles, diaper changes, and developmental milestones

Engage in age-appropriate developmental activities, tummy time, music, reading, and sensory play

Assist in establishing healthy sleep habits and routines

Maintain a safe environment following current infant safety and safe sleep guidelines

Communicate daily updates with parents

Travel with the family occasionally if needed (optional)

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional newborn or infant nanny experience

Extensive experience caring for infants under 6 months

CPR and Pediatric First Aid Certified

Clean driving record with reliable transportation

Excellent professional references

Pass a comprehensive background check

Authorized to work in the United States

Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)

Non-smoker

Comfortable working in a private family home

Preferred Experience

Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) Certification

Postpartum Doula Certification

Early Childhood Education background

Montessori or infant development knowledge

Experience working with high-profile or private families

Sleep training experience (parent-directed)

Breast milk handling and storage knowledge

Schedule Options

Compensation & Benefits

$35–$45+ per hour based on experience
