Physical Therapist

Schedule is 5 days a week with shifts from 08:00 to 17:00. Candidates must have outpatient experience. Experience with charting systems is required. Preferred candidates will have experience in community hospitals. Special procedures include anything that walks through the door; no therapy travelers should be redirected. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy and interpretation services. Daily census averages 48 visits. Candidates should have varied skills in acute care, adaptive devices, and mobility-related techniques. Specific experience with patient demographics includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Knowledge of conditions such as cerebral palsy, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and spinal cord injury is essential. Other conditions may include arthritis, stroke rehabilitation, and multiple sclerosis. The facility conducts its own drug screening upon arrival, which includes marijuana detection. Candidates must be prepared to provide documentation within 72 hours of accepting an offer. Experience with Altera charting system is preferred but not required. Modules and orientations typically result in an average time commitment of 6-8 hours. This position requires strong patient family education skills and a focus on safety and injury prevention. Flexibility in responding to site-specific needs and challenges is essential in this role.
