Description The Community Relations & Marketing Specialist serves as a key ambassador for Mennonite Village, fostering meaningful connections with prospective residents, families, and the broader community while supporting the organization's marketing and occupancy goals. This position combines community relations, sales support, marketing, social media management, CRM administration, and content creation. The Community Relations & Marketing Specialist helps guide prospective residents through their journey by conducting community tours, maintaining engagement through the CRM, creating compelling marketing content, managing social media, and supporting events and outreach initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Community Relations & Sales Support Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable representative of Mennonite Village. Conduct community tours for prospective residents, families, and visitors. Build and maintain positive relationships with prospects through regular communication and follow-up. Assist with lead management, waitlist engagement, and prospect cultivation activities. Support occupancy goals by helping create an exceptional customer experience from initial inquiry through move-in. Coordinate appointments, tours, presentations, and prospect meetings. Participate in community outreach efforts and represent Mennonite Village at events and networking opportunities. Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing team to identify opportunities for lead generation and relationship building. CRM Administration & Data Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the organization's CRM system. Document prospect interactions, activities, and follow-up tasks. Monitor lead progression and ensure timely communication and engagement. Generate reports and assist with tracking key sales and marketing performance metrics. Support CRM training and best practices within the department. Assist with developing and maintaining efficient processes for lead management and prospect communication. Marketing & Social Media Management Manage and maintain Mennonite Village social media platforms. Develop engaging content that reflects community life, resident experiences, staff accomplishments, events, and organizational initiatives. Create and schedule social media content using established marketing strategies and brand standards. Monitor social media engagement and assist with online community interaction. Support digital marketing efforts, including email campaigns, website updates, online advertising, and promotional communications. Assist with the development of brochures, flyers, newsletters, presentations, and other marketing materials. Photography & Videography Capture professional-quality photography and video content throughout the campus. Document resident events, staff recognition, community milestones, campus amenities, and daily life at Mennonite Village. Edit photographs and videos for use across social media, advertising, digital communications, presentations, and print materials. Maintain an organized digital library of photo and video assets. Identify and share compelling stories that highlight the mission and culture of Mennonite Village. Event Planning & Community Engagement Assist in planning and executing marketing events, educational seminars, open houses, resident celebrations, and community outreach initiatives. Coordinate event promotion, registration, logistics, and follow-up communications. Support sponsorship, partnership, and community engagement opportunities. Work collaboratively with departments across campus to promote events and gather content for marketing purposes. Help strengthen Mennonite Village's visibility and reputation within the Albany community and surrounding region. Administrative Support Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department. Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and marketing materials. Assist with departmental recordkeeping, filing, scheduling, and special projects. Support contract and move-in documentation processes as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Education & Experience Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of two years of experience in marketing, sales support, customer service, community relations, or a related field. Experience managing CRM software and customer databases required. Experience managing social media platforms for an organization preferred. Photography and videography experience strongly preferred. Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or community engagement environments is desirable. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Comfortable conducting tours and speaking with prospective residents and families. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software. Knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and digital marketing best practices. Photography, videography, and basic editing skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Creative, self-motivated, and resourceful. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Physical Requirements Ability to walk extensively throughout campus while conducting tours and attending events. Ability to stand for extended periods during events and presentations.
