The East Rochester School District is seeking a dedicated Secondary Special Education Teacher for a full-time, tenure-track position. Secondary Special Education Teacher
- Plan and provide instruction for students with learning, behavioral, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities in accordance with NYS mandates and standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet student needs.
- Develop lesson plans aligned with NYS Learning Standards, and implement and evaluate them using the best instructional and assessment practices.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate alternative behavior management plans.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team to foster collaborative planning and an interdisciplinary approach to learning.
- Effectively communicate with school staff, families, districts, and community agencies.
- Manage and support classroom teams.
- Participate in ongoing training and learning opportunities.
