Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough initial assessments to understand and diagnose clients’ mental health concerns, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs. Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions, drawing from a variety of therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Respond promptly to mental health crises, providing crisis intervention to clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being. Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in alignment with ethical standards, documenting therapy sessions, treatment progress, and necessary follow-up actions. Engage with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, case managers, and external community resources, ensuring holistic care for your clients. Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, regularly discussing treatment options and community resources to promote informed decision-making. Continuously engage in professional development by attending workshops and training sessions, remaining updated on the latest best practices and therapeutic techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus Your clients will vary widely in age, background, and presenting issues, ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and relationship challenges. You will develop specialized skills in addressing a diverse set of mental health needs, allowing you to cultivate resilience and support personal growth in those you work with. Qualifications Must hold a valid Washington State license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW). A Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a closely related field is required. Possess strong clinical assessment and diagnostic abilities to effectively evaluate and treat clients. A minimum of two years of relevant experience is essential for this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to foster effective relationships with clients and colleagues. A strong sense of accountability and professionalism, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and practices. Preferred Experience Experience in a clinical setting is preferred, particularly in community mental health or private practice. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is advantageous for maintaining client documentation. Prior experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competencies in therapy. Compensation and Benefits The position offers a competitive salary, ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
